I watched l’intrus yesterday btw. The other Claire Denis you suggested. The photography was beautiful but I think I need to watch a second time. I got the gist of it but some elements no. Like the old asian lady, was she a pro or an employee of the clinic?

It has been along time since I have seen it. I remember not being fully able to making sense of it. I just chalked it up to one of those movies that just makes you feel things + I really liked the final scene with the woman and the sled dogs.
I do think it’s one of those. Made me think of Robert Eggers style a bit. More dialog but usually incomprehensible (the witch for example, the other 2 as well). The feeling is more important
Ya, it can be a bit frustrating while watching but they have a tendency to stay with you for awhile.

What do you do in his situation? Speak your truth and get banned. With the wife and 4 kids to feed. Or keep it to yourself? Especially knowing what happens next where banned means death. What a dilemma
It just one of those movies for me even though I saw it at the movie theater when it came out, images from it randomly appear in my mind. 🤷🏻♂️
It’s kinda like a dream. A scene is not totally finished but it cuts to the next one. Very surreal. I enjoyed it. I think I might look for all her stuff and do a festival 😂
Her movies I find kinda of emotionally brutal. I think I have seen most of them.
