They will, when it becomes "cool" so to do. Once the Public shames these centralized data thieves, and it becomes apparent that "they're being had", then the "great awakening" will happen. This could happen in a number of ways, big influencers, only accessible through NOSTR, or more RELAYS getting very popular, and thus ppl start coming-over. which has led-me-here, and I'm really digging-it so far. This is my first NOSTR-ing---all within the last x30-minutes, bc of Jacks recent Twitter post.
This is going to happen, big, I can feel it. May take a while, but we'll all be NOSTR-ing and looking-back at the hated gate-keepers that largely stole and profiteered off our data, and wonder, "I can't believe I used to be involved with that"---Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. etc. Or, there may be a amalgamation, where we sparingly use the Centralized Social Media apps, but stay on this open-sourced protocol more-than-not....Will be interesting to see how this plays-out.
Algorithms and self-sovereignty are not mutually exclusive. On #nostr you can have both!
