The TikTok hearings were the first time I genuinely felt like my country was still racist.

The fact that not a single one of those assholes knew the difference between the nationalities over there, didn’t have a clue how the internet worked, and couldn’t name a single piece of information that the CCP could possibly obtain through TikTok that wasn’t easily gotten somewhere else, just shows what a sham the whole thing is.

Rules for thee but not for me. That’s all this is. They can spy on us far more egregiously, but TikTok knowing I like the funny cat videos and thirst traps is just a step too far.

This is far more likely a scam.

Someone is hand picked to buy TikTok most likely with government strings attached. Everyone will get their cut. I’m sure even the CCP will still have a cut (just a smaller piece of the pie). The “ban” is probably the distraction. The ignorance of our congress is real but also a convenient distraction.

I doubt they have ever used TikTok. They just want to control the media and don't want people disrupting politicians' plans to operate wars.
