Interestingly, the dollars dominance is causing US weakness, which is why Trump is looking to deliberately weaken the US dollar to reverse the Triffin paradox.

US dollar sistem doesn't come for free. Its really bad, but BRICS has something much worse in case they succeed.
Agreed. New empires are ābornā, and old ones fade (though some manage to remain cultural influencers long after losing their status, such as Greece and Rome). My main concern is that both fading empires and younger āchallengersā tend to be a bit too trigger-happy and willing to send plebs to die for āreasonsā. I hope we can skip at least some of this pointless exercise this time (though weāre not off to a good start, given Putinās āspecial operationsā in Ukraine and the rising tensions around Taiwan). Extra points if we can also skip Iron Curtain style restrictions designed to keep plebs trapped on their respective sides of the fence. Mobility is beautiful; not fighting stupid wars for ephemeral power constructs is even better.
Both Rome and Greece collapsed in the same way. Idk where you get the idea that these two places were revolutionary, because they stole all their ideas.
You need to go and learn history, at least not what they teach in Europe, because it's laughable.
I think you misread my statement as saying more than it really did. Iām not playing into European exceptionalism, quite the opposite. And honestly, youāll do better not judging what people on the internet know or believe, or their degree of knowledge about, well, anything, based on short sentences. Check your ego at the door and life will be much happier. Or, you know, keep doing the "Reply Guy" thing and annoying strangers if thatās your thing (on my side, Iāll just block you).
Ad hominem stuff out of the way: cultural influence outlasting empire is a common phenomenon. People are still making movies about the "Heroes of Sparta" (while conveniently whitewashing all the awful, degenerate aspects of their society) and portraying Persians as monsters, even though Greek society was already in decay and the Persians left us a legacy equally or more important than that of the Greeks and Romans.
Thereās a path where people remember American movies about the Old West, gunslingers, and the golden age of Hollywood, with "US-centric culture" bringing so many amazing things to the world. Thereās another path where Americans are remembered for their decaying final years: inequality, ignorance, authoritarianism, and international interference, ending with "heroic challengers" from the "civilised world" finally bringing this monstrous society with its aggressive, bestial ways to its knees. And the funny thing about history is that both versions will contain a degree of truth.
Since you clearly have a keyboard; generally speaking the "I think about Rome once a day" crowd are clueless.
