I still believe the average citizen is in the smart side. They can be gaslighted and confused, but when you said the policy laud and clear the majority of people understands
🙏 , but then I think of the George Carlin quote: “Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”
Instead of thinking of this imaginary people of the Internet, think of the people around you and the ones you interact. Are they really that stupid?
I know of some people that are confused who have their party idealized, and they are unable to see things objectively. I think is these crazy policies what can make them wake up.
