How about X-ray tests?
Discussion
You know how sometimes people get an xray and are then sent to get an MRI done? In welds if there are immeasurably small cracks, it can’t compromise them almost completely. There are advanced tests that can paint a pretty good picture if you are familiar with the process and normal outcomes, but it’s still no guarantee. It wouldn’t matter that much, many things are like this, but welds CANT fail without really bad outcomes in many cases. Like submarines. Depends on the type of metal too as to whether there will be a warning or not.
Ever hung a picture on a hook that uses a command strip, sticky tape? The picture doesn’t usually start sliding down the wall, it crashes to the ground. How do you know if the strip is good? You test it with weight. And every time you test it, you weaken it, so your testing implies the results are to some extent marginally to the high side of what can be withstood in the next stress event.
Welding, sworn enemy of perfectionism and science. Only people who can trust God can come close to fully trusting welds.
we tested zaps on this note… we made six attempts to⚡zap this note, at michilis@twentyone.tips, over a period of 1 minute. Five of the zaps were successfully paid... your server did produce invoices, however, we were unable to successfully pay the invoices. it may be that your node or wallet service was offline at the time we attempted the zaps. the actual error we got was 'route not found'... which is an unfortunately vague error that lightning payments sometimes produce. this means our payment node could not find a path to your node. (it could also be that your node was online at the time of payment, but did not have sufficient inbound capacity to receive payments.) if you wanted to fix this... you could try getting a free rizful lightning address -- https://rizful.com ... if u get it set up, pls reply here so we can do this ⚡zap test again.
