Most people would apply many different names to themselves, depending upon the topic being focused on. And they make up new names, for new topics, and they understand that certain characteristics span multiple names.

We can inhabit a plethora of overlapping sets, so it is hardly a reduction.

Well, I guess I'm emphasizing that intelligence wouldn't necessarily lead to not-naming onesself, but perhaps, to having a more complex system of names.

Perhaps we agree.

That said, I never deny my various names, when they're used. I appreciate them all. There are simply additional names other people might wish to assign to me, that I refuse to accept.

That fits in well with my perception of you as intelligent. I think we mean the same thing.
