It is indeed a UV-390. It’s a decent radio but I do run into issues occasionally where it doesn’t always decode data streams properly through my DMR hotspot. I’ve tried all sorts of things but nothing really seems to make a difference. It almost seems like a frame sync issue where it starts decoding frames in the middle sometimes which leads to odd, often unintelligible audio. I haven’t encountered this on a DMR repeater yet but I don’t use a repeater very often. Do you have issues with DMR decoding?

Yes, the CPS is Windows, as you mentioned. We’re mainly a Linux and Mac OS house here. I run Windows in a VM when I have to.
