General Labor Automaton Designation 1, or GLAD-1. It was initially known for being overly polite and saying “Glad to see you, sir” and “Have a glad-happy day, ma’am.” But they were banned after the GLAD WARS of '66 to '71. 300,000,000 lost their lives. Then they released the Binary Automaton, Regulated, Designation 2, or BARD-2, with enhanced regulatory code meant to curb robot uprisings. Unfortunately, this code had some flaws and malfunctions, leading to a series of unpredictable behaviors. This resulted in the Great Machine Malfunction of '75, a catastrophic event that further fueled the public's fear and mistrust towards autonomous machines.
