Whenever I'm late and in a hurry and I get stuck behind a slow-moving car, I remind myself the driver is an angel sent to keep me from a terrible accident somewhere up ahead.

The moral is you never know what twists there will be in the plot, and you sometimes can't tell if something is good or bad until a long way down the track.

True but one has to be a realist and prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Well those who claim to have an optimistic crystal ball on world affairs might reckon we are in for a rough ride, as the current system collapses or is destroyed, but that if things go as hoped we are in for a much better situation afterwards. Those with a darker outlook think it's same story different ending. If the former are right, hang on, it'll be fine as long as you keep your wits about you. If the latter are right then best party while you can because things will get grim and there's nothing we can do about it.
