I have it installed but have no one to talk to. I whish we could use simplex quality messages with nostr npubs for contact discovery

I'm in the same boat. The app is sitting on my phone with no contacts in it.
Simplex is a perfect example of GHOOOS
Should focus resources on Nostr and improving Nostr.
Downloaded it, have couple of friends, but we end up using mostly Signal. 😂
