I don’t even know what fighting for a better world means anymore. When I was younger I thought I did.

- Protests don’t work.

- Opting out and saving the pittance you have left after income tax and bill payments on payday in Bitcoin doesn’t work. (Though it is smart and protects your savings).

- voting doesn’t work

- writing your representatives doesn’t work

We seriously just need a general strike. But we are going to have to feel a lot more pain before a critical mass of workers will entertain that thought. And the organizers will be martyred.

there comes a point when it's not worth it to work a job...we are seeing this with restaurants and low wage work right now...the supply of people willing to work for nothing is dwindling...at some point, it makes more sense to raise your own food, kids, and have a self contained community like the Amish, than to work forever hoping for a retirement that never comes.

The Amish (Hutterite) people in our community have serious capital. The tax savings alone they realize by making/growing/raising most of what they use is huge.
