I was told last year that I'm developing fatty liver disease.

Degrading health usually less about suddenly being sick and more about the small okays we give ourself that accumulate into us noticing something is different. By that time, theres been a lot of unnoticed damage.
Doubtful you haven't heard this already, but stepping outside my comfort because i care. Not for guilt or to make you feel bad.
Enact the changes you need. You have people depending on you being around for a while. Around and healthy.
Of course its not easy. Those small okays and forgiveness you give yourself? Instead climb a step each day, strive to climb multiple.
Those small fucking okays...
You don't need to worry about so called willpower to not let it happen. It helps, but can't rely on it and is not sustainable.
Cultivate the environments and habits that minimize or remove the possibility from your periphery. Stay away if not remove environments from your life where they sprout up. You'll be okay 🫂
My old advice: cut carbs, ditch beer, use clear liquors, get to a healthy weight and eat cleanly
My new, real advice: stay away from alcohol entirely for most or all weeks of the year
Liver disease is no joke; they don't make dialysis machines for livers...
Yeah I really like a good beer but I need to restrict myself to 2-3 a month at most. It's gotta be just an occasional treat.
Yikes. Better to just stay away then. You have my prayers.
