what’s the deal with those? do you have to pay to look or just to post?
Pay to post. Kinda monthly subscription to post to that relay. Most paid relays allows you to look (read) posts from them for free.
Paid relays have better speed, less spam and overall supports the Nostr network.

It's beautiful. Create an npub, show some ass, get Zapped, use Zaps to purchase relay access. This is the value for value economy that we're building on Nostr.
