Some beautiful mushies. Anyone know what they are? Had a white spore print. #mycology #mushrooms

Looks to be an Amanita family. Identifying from pictures is unreliable though. You could try your hand at identifying the spores under a microscope if you have one.
Someone on Instagram said amanita jacksonii that seems accurate
Scrolling back by here my son sees the picture and goes “waaao munshroooms! They so pretty!”
If you want people online to ID mushrooms from pictures, it's important to get pictures of where the gills meet the stipe (stem), what the bottom of the stipe looks like after you've picked the mushroom, and the surrounding area (just like the pic you posted).
Also take note of how they smell. Some are sweet, some are earthy, ... there's an impressive range available. Another attribute to note is if they burst into crumbles when thrown at your friend, or if they're stringy when torn in half. Spore color is also good to know. In some situations, it's the only identifying factor between look-alikes.
Yeah I would add multiple pictures is that possible on here? Without making multiple posts
It all depends on your client and how you add pictures to your post. In Amethyst it's easy.
In Nostr pictures aren't really posted. A note showing a picture really only has the address (URL) to that picture. You can put as many addresses in a note as you want, even if you have to paste them in yourself.
Most of the pics I share on Nostr are ones I uploaded to imgbb.com. When I type up a note, I paste the addresses to my uploaded pics.
Yeah I use Damus, didn’t think that was possible. Thanks!
Something I often do is start my post/note in a text editor. When I'm done proof-reading and editing, I'll paste it in a Nostr client. When I have multile pics, my text might look something like this:

Here are pictures of thingies.

Good advice. Also mention the substrate it's coming from. If you are planning to consume the mushroom It's good to know milk thistle can help save your life from something as poisonous as an exterminating angel (amanita virosa)..... but it doesn't mean you won't be on dialysis for the rest of it!
Is it similar to anything poisonous and is it worth the risk? I only pick things I know really well for this reason.
Yeah I wasn’t planning on eating it, just curious on the ID.I never eat any amanitas
So you are not planning a muscimol fuelled berserker viking landing party after all? That's a little disappointing...
I mean we can set something up…
🤣 I better get started on the longship...
This is how we end the Fed
Ok as long as we can do the bank of England on the way back, luckily there is convenient river access to that one, just off London bridge.
If anyone asks we can say it's a historical reenactment or if the mushrooms 🍄 have kicked in we can just bludgeon them with an axe 🪓 😆
