Production line might be dehumanizing but it results in less conflict between team members.

That's true. Serial work means you have your own little micro-projects.

Working with someone you ainโ€˜t forced to work work with is a bliss.

I definitely am a real developer.

I hang out with better devs on here and it makes me self-conscious, but after working on a project with a bunch of other computer science students, I was clearly the only one on the project willing to write, by hand, the actual underlying code, and to read what everyone else had auto-generated. And to take the time to actually learn how the language worked and how the project is constructed.

I'm not intimidated by "things you write in an IDE".

Took me forever to realize that none of them knew how LaTeX worked because none of them had opened up the file and looked at it. ๐Ÿ˜‚ They were just editing (what looked like to them) special PDFs with embedded images.

We just spent days arguing back and forth, with me looking at the code and complaining about this or that conflict, and them looking at the PDF and scratching their heads.
