And what about Greenland itself? Are they doing their job? Are they elligible to be on their own? Apparently not.

If Greenland is independent it will get absolutely wrecked by anyone with a fleet

They only have 50k people to protect the landmass of alaska

Yes, they have no way to protect themselves. It's still no reason to claim the land.

The alternative is that US, China, EU and Russia will agree to not touch Greenland. But this kind of diplomacy is not happening anymore it seems
