Yes. They did for a very long time. I'm not sure if they still do as I haven't looked into it in a long while. They didn't want people's "low effort" GM notes from trending and specially banned GM and "good morning" from trending. My good morning notes almost always added more context and a positive call to action. So, I wasn't overly impressed and I altered my good morning to Ԍood morning. The special G was all that it took to get past their filter. Β―\_(ツ)_/Β―

πŸ˜… oof what else do they sensor? Hmm I’ll have to research another Nostr client. I like the UX, it’s a shame

this is the best outcome of this thread.

yes their ux is great, and yes they fuck with your feed. these things are almost always fellow travellers for some haunted damn reason.

Content should be off limits, the quality UX I like about Primal has nothing to do with content manipulation. Luckily I can try different clients!

agreed.

Primal is a great client to be honest. they have their own vision and that's okay.

so you weren't trying to send primal a message?

i don't think so?

Did you suspect that Primal users weren't aware of the "curation" and would have preferred to see the GM notes if they had a choice? Or do you think it's more likely they were using Primal because they appreciated its default "curation"?

The jury is out on whether you...

- Taught Primal a lesson that they shouldn't be manipulating content without user consent and raised awareness for Primal users

- OR you violated the desires of Primal users who choose the app because of how it curates content

As a current primal user, I had no idea, it’s a hidden thing, like inflation πŸ˜„. Content manipulation is Nostr client inflation.
