It was something I was working on for awhile before your feature request
I can send you a DM if you’re actually interested in testing it out
It just took me a long time to figure out, but now I can put some energy into gif uploads directly to collections 😄

Which concept do you prefer:
1. Upload button direct on Collections page
Pros: allows for multiple uploads easily for collections
Cons: doesn't make it searchable
2. Collections dropdown on upload page
Pros: will add image to collection and make searchable (not sure I can do bulk upload, but might be possible)
Cons: requires login to know collection
3. None of the above
Since there's so many mp4s (and I use gif/mp4 interchangeably), it would be impossible to properly tag each one unless it's crowdsourced. Use a gif, you tag it. However, the bulk upload feature directly to a collection is nice. Would it be publicly available without having to login to use a gif from a collection, since I am tryng to share it with everyone? These are the things that come to mind.
Thinking on it more:
I think the first option would be most appropriate if you don’t expect to individually tag and want to mass upload
Your collections, while published under your key, are still public for anyone to use
Adding nostr:npub107jk7htfv243u0x5ynn43scq9wrxtaasmrwwa8lfu2ydwag6cx2quqncxg and nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr because they helped work on the implementation of gif collections and drafted the NIP
Option one seems like the easiest to go about this.
I’m down to start there and we can tweak it as we need 🤙
Also, ability to add later to the existing collection via batch upload.
Yeah, I’m expecting that you’ll be able to constantly edit the collection as many times and as long into the future as you want
Started working on this, but ran into an issue
Are all of your gifs local files on your computer hard drive or are they already hosted and have a URL?
If local files, then we have to upload each one to a nostr.build to get a public URL, which will take a long time if you're doing 1,000 gifs
