It's the first time I tried to make maple syrup from scratch. I build an evaporator with an old barrel, fired it up and started cooking. Takes freakin long but... OH BOY it's worth it. 🤤

I went 10 taps, 30 taps, 50 taps, 100 taps, 250 taps, 450, 600, now 750. Still boil outside on homemade evaporator. I think you got maple fever.

Exactly how we started on a barrel stove like this one w/ 30 taps! 😆 There’s no going back now!!
