Jules Shengo is the executive director of an NGO working in Kakuma, Kenya. He has not yet been able to post any stories or photos of the work that he is doing with his school, his garden, his fish farm or the infrastructure work around his community because he is waiting to be able to afford the data.

Kelvin Dafiaghor is a teacher in Nigeria who is focused on giving his students exposure to the latest technology from AI to 3D printers, giving them a head start to rebuild their community as they grow and learn. He has been able to share one note, but is waiting for enough Data to be able to share more. He also needs to get his phone fixed so that it can charge while he uses it.

Both of these local leaders were people that I invited to Nostr, hoping to see them post so I could share and we could build a community of people who want to support their work and help them build a circular economy around where they live. I can't give much and that has been a disappointment, but I'm staying positive and encouraging them to share notes, photos and to invite others to build their local networks. As the network grows, so does the sats.
