So we finally planted a mimosa tree, because my husband has been wanting one for a while. I dont really care for mimosas, but we found a sale today, so at least we got a good price. #permies #gardening #trees

You can make a natural mood enhancing tea from the flowers if that makes her more enticing to you. 💚

I'll look into it😊

These are “invasive weeds” in my part of the country. I still love them. I think they’re beautiful, even through their leggy years. I have tinctured the flowers before and enjoyed that for anxiety. Also one of my goats favorite treats 🤠!

Yes i know in some areas they are invasive. I dont see many of them around here though. No chance of it becoming invasive on our place.

So when does it start producing brunch drinks?

If it produced those, i would plant 50 of them😊

I love them, too. I started one from seed I put in a clay pipe. The pipe is cracked from the tree growing so big now. Bees love them, they smell so fresh. I know they are invasive tho.

Oh wow, grew it in a clay pipe? Thats neat, and i do like that bees will be attracted to them.

There is an old pipe foundry near here. Many of the houses above a certain age had those terra-cotta bricks and/or pipes from Clay City. Many of the area residents have repurposed them for various decorative uses.

That is so cool! I've seen houses with terra cotta roofs, very pretty.

One of my American favorites is the weeping willow.
