so it's like a solar cell but for ether.

Reminds me of those calculators with the tiny solar panel . i was always amazed how such a tiny solar cell could power the calculator back in the 90s.

i guess for companies looking to manufacture, it's just a question of, are the palladium and nickel used for the layers cheaper than the normal metals/materials used in solar panels.

at some price point it's just cheaper to plug into wall current or use a standard solar cell even if it requires sunshine.

Typical solar cells aren't very efficient, 25% would be a lot, so they can't produce much power, whereas these Casimir devices would produce as much as is needed depending on the size and array. You could scale them up to run a car or home.

I haven't heard anyone outside of Moddel talking about it, but I just saw a clip of Sonny White, former NASA, describing building devices using the same principles.

So it works by "borrowing" the electron for a fraction of a second and then capturing it on the other side of a casimir cavity before it goes back... at what point does the zero point field wisen up to this thievery that's going on.

😂

That's the neat part, it doesn't.

We currently build inefficient circuits that lose energy via heat. Circuits built using these new types of arrays would he highly efficient and remain room temperature. I think the big disconnect in physics will be arguments on where that energy is coming from. To me, it's clear there is a medium from which all energy comes.

Yes, I think so too. If I understand correctly, There is a Veritasium video about how turning a light switch on is instantaneous even when the light is far away. So while it is connected via wires, the actual energy seems to come from a field which is not actually constrained to the wires.

I'm probably explaining it all wrong.

And it is exactly this type of contradictory nonsense that made me begin to question our understanding altogether. "Nothing travels faster than light" followed by 'spooky, instant action at a distance'. It's incoherent and contradictory.

Same with magnets 'emitting' particles. Yes, an infinite stream of electrons coming from a permanent magnet that will last many decades while never running out of electrons. It's so comically childish, and we know this isn't true simply by looking at a magnet under a ferrocell. All you see are lines/waves of constructive and destructive interference, because that's all it is!

Magnets do not emit anything just like electrons are not travelling down power lines. These are coherent fields with very specific recursive geometries, and power lines are more akin to electrical field conductors. Nothing is constrained to the wires - this is exactly why we can pick up a current wirelessly without touching a wire. The wires are guiding the electric field in whatever direction they are running, since they are ideal field conductors.

Once you re-introduce a medium, call it aether or whatever you like, then action as a distance is easily explained and there is no longer a dark matter/dark energy problem. The fact that even idiots like me can grasp this while "experts" in their fields cannot is a good demonstration of how far off track we have gone.

Magnets do seem magic somehow.

I thought you were an expert... How did you get interested in this?

I tried reading "Understanding Physics" by Asimov as a teenager and couldn't read past a couple pages before falling asleep.

Computer chips then are very complex field conductors...

The Buga sphere had lots of tiny fiber optics emerging in tiny holes along the outside.

Perhaps elf craftmanship can combine fiber optics plus circuitry to rival human spinal cords...

Also does that mean our nerves if they are relaying electric impulses are communicating with the zero point field?

I think our brains, specifically microtubules, are what provide access to the zero point field, and everything else is downstream from that.

I stumbled into the gnostics and the true nature of magnetism and everything followed from that.

now i'm looking up gnostics. i thought that was a religion :D

so that's why sleeping next to magnets is a thing. the magnets look like paint cans.

someone i know swears by them, and her cat also prefers to sleep between the big "paint" cans even when they are on the floor.

i was supposed to test them out and document the sleep but it was unclear for me.

Gnosticism is best left in the dust bin. Not sure why that insanity keeps getting trotted back out.

hello!

consciousness following from microtubules and zero point energy? or just the religious part of gnositicism

Both! The religious part ends up justifying whatever insanity you are currently experiencing. "This is hidden knowledge! These ancient texts I wrote say so"

oh. we are all about open-source here, no hidden knowledge.

i would follow traditional religious wisdom as revealed in bible (open source), however trying to understand the mechanics of consciousness doesn't seem like an insanity...

Can you steelman apophaticism?

If you want to dive into what magnetism is, as well as apophaticism:
