I am not sure. These rev-share models lead to bad incentives. Clients should not put themselves between creators and their audience. I prefer that people pay for the client directly.

That's a respectable decision. I'll continue as I do.
Google search became useless after a few decades because monetary incentives took over the purpose of serving users what they were looking for.
You only have one customer: the one that pays your bills. The end user is not your customer if they are not aligned with your revenue model.

If it works (revenue comes in), it does. Devs get lazy and stop collecting real feedback about new improvements because money comes in no matter what they do.
