onlyzaps doesn't display likes even as a function

Guessing primal or something wiped it, its just a flag on the profile.
I may just use a settings note instead to avoid this
wencke, if you disable onlyzaps, you can both zap and like notes
onlyzaps removes likes completely visibility wise from your client
yeah true but I like onlyzaps in Damus. That’s what make it Damus
so you go to primal to like even tho you could do it on damus

OnlyZaps really should disable others from liking your notes for it to be truly effective.

Yeah I recall. But it’s not you censoring, it’s the user and only if they select it.

People argued it was still useful as a way to signal liked posts to other people, even if the person receiving it could not see it. I found that argument good enough to restore it.
I can see both sides. I guess if people are used to likes it’s harder to change the perceptive of not having it. It’s hard to unlearn something that is so ingrained in people’s daily way of interacting with social media
onlyzaps is great as you say but using multiple clients, like me, really doesn’t help. So yes I’m not helping

I use Primal alongside Damus for four main reasons. 1. Because I can (Nostr keys for the win). 2. Primal Wallet for receiving zaps on both clients. 3. Binned my personal domain NIP-05 and replaced it with a custom one from Primal that matches my handle. 4. I like testing.
With the current state of LNURL wallets out there (and Apple Store stupidness), I think Damus is a little more confusing to set up for zapping (NWC is not immediately obvious), so Primal (client + wallet) is going to work for a lot of newcomers.
