Lol, I manage to convinced my wife to stop her subscription (I would have never subscribed in the first place). But it's not because of Elon tweeting shit, it's just because Netflix services turned into shit, removing contenr, blocking multiple IP, sharing account in the family and increasing price on top.
My Jellfin server is doing the job just fine, if not better. We also use free DVD rental from local library and I even resuming buying some movies when I see one for 1$ or less in second hand shops. Even look for CD at 50cts each, but it's much harder to find something I like.
I start building up again a music collection, also on Jellyfin, with music that me and the family like.
Eventually I will make her stop Spotify as well.
