Discussion
I can confirm it works. I just cant remember how I set it up. Maybe an nsec bunker... I forget and I'm afraid to disable the connection cause I'll probably never get it working again. 🤷♂️
Amber implements NIP-55. Logging into Keychat with Amber uses NIP-55. Bunker follows NIP-46 and has nothing to do with Keychat.
Oh. Well... wtf then?
We don’t like the NIP-46 bunker approach.
How many internet users understand the word "bunker" outside of the context of golf or nuclear war? Like 0.001%?
Only devs designing products for other devs would ever use the word bunker in a public facing UI.
It works. We’ve fixed a bug related to logging into Keychat with Amber in the latest version. Make sure you’ve updated to the latest version.
I'm on latest, amber 3.4.3, keychat 1.33.4. But still not being able to make it work, maybe I'm not in my sharpest day, but when keychat ask for a nick name, I input something, and then amber opens up and just show the apps I have configured. I can click them, but nothing happens, also no guidance. The only option is come back to keychat with the nickname text input
Sorry for the issue. We’ll check tomorrow to see if we can reproduce it, and we’ll fix it.
Keychat user nicknames are only stored locally and are never uploaded to relays. They are different from microblog profiles.
Thanks 👌
Great! Working now, sending this note from key hat
