How does the fountain app distribute sats? Some days I get 50, some days 200.

I guess it's totally random.

They choose a random sats per minute rate, and then distribute based on the number of minutes you listen (up to 60)

It's randomized. They've tried several models and the random one is the latest one.

I couldn’t tell if it was random by day or by show. I was drawing a correlation that if I listen to this pod, it pays more, but obviously that wasn’t it 😆
