Looking for a lawyer / legal advice for a new endeavor - I’m new to the scene of deploying bitcoin-accepting websites and building apps that are meant for people all over the world and want to make sure I don’t do something dumb or obviously bad. I’m based in USA. If anyone has any recommendations (law firm, website with latest info about following recent regulation changes, etc) please share 🙏

#legal #nostr

Gonna tag some people to increase my visibility, hope y’all don’t mind

it's legal to accept bitcoin; not to hold bitcoin for other people (i.e. be a money-transmitter)

I can point you to some bitcoin-aware firms, but if all you're doing is selling stuff for bitcoin then you're well on the legal side of the law

No it’s more of a SaaS idea. Is it legal to let people pay you in bitcoin for a pay as you go service, like what voltage does for hosting? (It’s not hosting but it’s a pay as you go thing, where you pay for an API key and charged based on usage)

One other question - I don’t want to store any data about users. Are there any sanctions I have to worry about? Do I have to check if a users ip address is from North Korea, Iran, etc?
