Paracord and a small throw bag or weight. Once the throw bag is over the branch and the bag back is on the ground, tie an alpine butterfly in the middle of the paracord, attach the node to it, then pull it up into the tree. (Keep both ends of the rope on the ground for retrieval and adjustment!). Hopefully it doesn't get snagged in the tree when you throw. ๐
Paracord has to be long enough that it's at least 3 x the height of the branch.

It's not the Nordic experience, but my years in Chicago and Toronto taught me how the beauty of the winters is paired with the challenge of months of little sun. That was tough.
