πŸ€™πŸ€™ I think that in the near future AI will help with these aspects of permaculture design:

Keyline design/topographic map analysis, very downscaled for precision.

Hydrological regime analysis.

Historic weather pattern analysis for site.

Precise weather loggers combined with soil type and humidity analysis for crop and support species picking.

Worldwide dataset analysis for your climate, to assist in picking profitable crops and food security.

Assist in designing for profitability and resilience.

Market analysis and commodity projections to assist in entering a desirable market.

There are just a few that I've thought about recently. What are you thinking?

Yeah similar to a couple of yours.Essentially given topography and location and client input desires, design a property or enumerate the possible permutations. Start with Water Access Structures and then add elements. I think it would be pretty challenging to get it to the point of where people would trust it. But it’s first use case might be as a tool for designers to see alternatives at different points in the design process. Or efficiency in the grunt work of designing. Or just massive surveys of topological data for recommendations for clients before they buy given what they want to do.

πŸ’―πŸ’― one would have to verify the logic behind all recommendations. But as a tool to evaluate property before purchasing would be a great application.
