Enjoy your trip🙂
Side-trip to Madeira, but that’s not in Lisbon, so no zaps for me…
Any restaurant in the fado street to eat listening to one of the best folk music in the world.
Gold standard music: https://youtu.be/gLnhuv7dlm4
The beach in Albufeira is wonderful
I like lx factory.
Her you go Jimmy....
1. **Explore Historic Neighborhoods**: Start with the historic districts of Alfama, Baixa, and Chiado. These areas are filled with narrow streets, traditional shops, and stunning architecture. Alfama, in particular, is known for its Fado music and medieval charm.
2. **Visit Iconic Landmarks**: Don't miss the Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. These landmarks are symbols of Portugal's Age of Discoveries and are must-sees for their historical and architectural significance.
3. **Ride the Tram 28**: Hop on the iconic Tram 28 for a scenic ride through the city's hilly streets. It's a great way to see many of Lisbon's historic sites and get a feel for the local life.
4. **Explore Museums**: Lisbon has a wealth of museums. The National Tile Museum, the MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology), and the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum are all highly recommended for their unique collections.
5. **Try Local Cuisine**: Indulge in Portuguese cuisine at local restaurants and cafes. Dishes like pastel de nata (custard tarts), bacalhau (salted cod), and francesinha (a meaty sandwich) are not to be missed. For a unique experience, try a Fado dinner show in Alfama.
6. **Visit the Oceanário de Lisboa**: One of the largest and most impressive aquariums in Europe, it offers a stunning display of marine life and is a great activity for all ages.
7. **Stroll Through Parks**: Escape the city bustle with a visit to the beautiful Parque Eduardo VII or the Botanical Garden. These green spaces offer a peaceful retreat with lovely views.
8. **Day Trip to Sintra**: Just a short train ride away, the romantic town of Sintra is a fairytale come to life with its colorful palaces and castles. Don't miss the Pena Palace and the Quinta da Regaleira.
9. **Experience Nightlife**: Lisbon's nightlife is lively and diverse. From rooftop bars with stunning views to underground clubs playing the latest music, there's something for everyone. The Bairro Alto district is famous for its vibrant nightlife.
10. **Shop at Local Markets**: Explore the Time Out Market for a variety of food stalls and local products. The Feira da Ladra flea market, held on Tuesdays and Saturdays, is also a great place to find unique souvenirs and antiques.
Hike the Castelo de São Jorge near the city center for the city views and have lunch in some quaint restaurant along the way
GM 🙏 , Park Rooftop , sunset drink moment🍹
Jardim do Torel
A really nice garden near the Lavra funicular, with fountains, benches, and a pop-up beach during summer. You get some great views of the city there
LxFactory is fun with the rooftops and the hip vibe.
Also Jerónimos monastery for imagining how the monk life used to be.
Miradouro Da Senhora Do Monte👍🏻👍🏻

Dinner at Casa do Alentejo
Almost forgot, if you like a hole in the wall with a great bifana (pull pork sammy) and a glass of vinho verde (green wine), Cervejaria Amigo up in the old Alfama district is so fun. The owner is a no bullshit old timer with cool stories

Pretty great food court called Time Out Market.
It's the best month to visit Lisbon because of the city festival, imho. Go to Alfama after dark just to wander and get lost a little bit in the hazy, dancing streets.
Brunch:
Nicolau
The Mill
Zenith
Flora & Fauna
Dinner:
Time out market ( quite expensive but literally has everything and is really nice! Good for people watching and has a great buzz ) (go for lunch or dinner)
Pharmacia (sharing style food again on the more expensive side but setting is very cool! Like an old hospital)
Forno d’oro (Class food and service , not ideal location for drinks beforehand etc)
Valdo Gatti Italian (really busy area, go for drinks in park bar beforehand)
Lal tasco
Ramero (sea food)
La papa rucha (romantic restaurant but expensive)
Lust in Rio best night club and restaurant
Lx factory Lisbon (busy little area with a few restaurants and shops, good for lunch)
Drinks:
Park Bar ( gorge views literally on top of a multi story car park!)
Machim Bombo (pink girly bar but class cocktails, beside park bar so good second choice if park bar is full)
To do:
- Tuk Tuk Tour of Lisbon - great way of seeing the city because it’s so hilly!! Also brings you to all the best view points
- Lime scooters - scoot out to Belem and get the pastel de Natas from Pasteis de Belem they’re unreal!!
- Sintra, Penna Palace (cool colourful castle would recommend if you like history!)
- Cascais (if you are looking for a beach day, cheap train and lovely area)
