We are in our January thaw in the middle of December. That's the way it feels with the early onset of the polar vortex.
The snow melted some and is a little greasy. The brook thawed a bit with water flowing under its cracks and open spaces.
Running downhill attached to a husky in slippery snow is a skill I've developed over the years. I recommend it if you are looking for a thrill.

GM, off to the DMV this morning, hoping the wait isn't too long. I'm wondering if they will ever be replaced by a rudely trained AI agents; probably not. This is Connecticut and we have a propensity of wasting tax dollars on bloated state worker salaries.
Those are small green ones with pods that grow above ground, right? I'm told that they add nitrogen to the soil.
