We were doing massive trade with Russia before he invaded Ukraine and were in free-trade talks, and he lost that with the invasion. But he didn't care because the trade was just to stockpile the money for the invasion. The Russian strategic foreign currency reserve was absolutely massive. That's how he's paid for the war.
Now, his reserve is running low on euros 💶 and his infrastructure and tooling is suffering under the boycotts and sanctions, and he's all, "Let's trade, again! ☺"
Yeah... uh... maybe... okay... nah. Not interested in sending our high-tech goods to him, so that he can use them to build drones, that he then flies back to us. 🤪 We're European, not retarded.
Andere Länder haben auch schöne Exporte.
So, he's desperate for more euros but he also knows that the EU is desperate to maintain economic dominance. He could've expected this to happen.
