145k for '89 Buick.. sheesh. I know, I know.. still.

It's a bit of a legend. The thing about this car in current market is that it's either in really bad condition or like new, nothing in between.

its telling you, you were meant to be a character in an episode of Miami Vice

Iconic, the Buick Grand National was an amazing car. In 1989, Pontiac put the motor train in a Turbo Trans Am. They only made 1555. It was faster than the Corvette of the same year, but with Buick DNA.

Oh my, this car. πŸ˜€ It really embodies that period in American automotive.

i hope you have Anita Baker for the tape deck 😏

Grand Nationals rule! ..had the fortune to drive my friend's GN many years ago

This is just about the greatest car ever it was super charged, which was a parasitic loss compared to a turbo charger, but much simpler to design. I believe it was a 3.2 L engine. It had one horrible flaw at about 87 miles an hour. It would lift off the road. Basically becoming airborne.

Airborne, a flaw? Nay, it’s a feature. πŸ˜„ Granted the car had its issues but what car built during that decade didn’t have any. Still great.

I believe the second selling feature flaw was the same flaw the model T Ford, it could come in any color you wanted so long as it was black. That never really went over well with the female side of the car buying crowd.

By the way, what are you doing back on? #nostr I thought you abandoned this for better use of your time?

Ahh.. I never planned to abandon it entirely. Once in a good while I’ll drop by to see what’s new. I don’t have socials as a part of my day to day, is all. πŸ™‚
