Even tho Signal now has usernames, they still know who is speaking to who as far as I understand.. you know more about that?
Signal is e2ee and 100% better than other messaging options like FB Messenger.
You do have to register with a phone number which opens up some meta data concerns but I don’t know how much signal can see from there side. You can use a google voice number but it is extra steps.
Simplex doesn’t have that concern
Signal usernames are not a solution. You still need a dang phone number to sign up. That's BS.
There's lots of free temporary SMS websites. I know because I use them to sign up for Bitcoin exchanges that I'm not supposed to use.
The numbers get deleted, so as long as you can login on a new phone *without* that number, you're ok.
Yeah, that's true, and I've read about other ways to get signed up without having to give your "real" phone number.
No. Simplex does not cover several usecases as well a telegram or even signal. Until then, I'm not exactly willing to switch, as I just use all three daily.
Does Simplex give an error when a message fails? Or is it still broken?
