Honestly it's worth the full listen. The topics discussed affect everyone who interacts with bitcoin, even if you dont mine.
Generalization of processes and surface level understanding is what led us to this problem in the first place. We need more people to understand the problems at a deeper level.
He brings up concerns abt the true nature of centralization within mining but they build the conversation in such a way that answers the how and why. It's vitally important for bitcoiners to understand the full mining process - it's not just about hashing.
I was on the call, but I think it just came off as biased towards ocean. Would be nice to get the opposing perspective of even to hear them debate.
Yeah I mean it's understandable he's biased to ocean but I agree it would be great to hear a debate. In general, I like oceans approach where you can pick. If you want to build a core template, you still can. In terms of censorship, the more choice we give each individual the better we can combat centralization and potential for corruption.

I think it explains the reason Ocean exists and the background of the mining centralization. Hardware, templates, incentives, transparency and etc is a very strong learning opportunity.
Every perspective deserves to be understood.
I fall into the camp that there are current issues and Ocean is a counter which I appreciate.
