People still use Clubhouse?
It seems that when twitter launched Spaces 7-8 months after Clubhouse was launched, twitter was able to use their network effect to box out Clubhouse from widespread usage. It became more convenient to just use the integrated version on X.
I've personally never used Clubhouse prior to today, but yes, there were people on it. I would guess that the number of people using Spaces on X is orders of magnitude greater than the number of people using Clubhouse.
It's a tool and it works so I'm gonna use it since I'm suspended on X.
Hey, it could make a comeback. I think needing approval to get on the app was a pretty stupid idea. Most people won’t wait around to be given the privilege of using some new app. 😄
