TLDR on Jordan Peterson's interview with Peter Schiff -

The dollar lost it's backing to gold because the anointed institution betrayed the public's trust and the only way to fix that is to imbue a brand new institution with exactly the same trust.

Yes. What good does that do if we elect to simply trust new men not to betray us, even with #Bitcoin at our disposal?

Making people aware of the betrayal is just one step toward opening your eyes to the broken system. If he can get more people to see the truth about that it will help Bitcoin. If they understand why gold was a decent backing for currency (not perfect, but the best we've had for millennia) then they should also be able to see why Bitcoin is better. Schiff is doing more to help Bitcoin along than you realize.

Dude relax. I'm not arguing for a new gold standard. The gold standard is just a good proxy for explaining why a Bitcoin standard is better and the current system is worse.
