The Faraway Tree series or perhaps anything by Enid Blyton...

I haven't heard of this.

The picture book series was my favourite growing up. But she also had a series called the Famous Five... I loved all the mystery/detective books growing up.

Sounds like that would make a good future present for my neice.

Artemis Fowl was decent. I had only read the first 4 when i was younger though.

Original “box car children” was something I read when I was little. Narnia was also good.

harry potter. well.narnia is amazing.. but the question is what age?

The Brothers Lionheart by Astrid Lindgren

Willard Price adventure stories

I asked my wife and kids for suggestions. Here they are, in no particular order:

- The Bronze Bow

- Tuttle Twins

- The Oddmire series

- Fablehaven series

- Beyonders series (read before The Five Kingdoms)

- The Five Kingdoms series (read after Beyonders)

- Redwall

- The Giver

- The Mysterious Benedict Society

- Harper

- The Phantom Tollbooth

- Wondla series

- Where the Red Fern Grows

- Pollyanna

- The "Awesome Austen" books (slightly simplified versions of Jane Austen's books)

I hope that's enough to get you started! 😅

The Edgar Rice Burroughs, Verne, all good kid books.

One or two of them were a little scary, but I also loved Frank Peretti's Cooper Kids Adventure series when I was a young teen. They have the Christian values thing too if I recall correctly.

Read a few and loved them!

Wingfeather saga. Green Ember. My kids can’t stop reading them.
