Anybody have a book recommendations on raising meat rabbits? Preferably something that covers pasturing or tractoring them.

New band name just dropped: Meat Rabbits.

that's great😄. What are you thinking? Smooth jazz? Thrash metal?

It's a good question. Considering meat rabbits are being farmed for food, it might be some toe gazing whiney crap, on the other hand, flaying rodents is metal as hell. On my third totally real and useful hand, you have to wear gloves to avoid Tularemia which is very not metal. I'm going to have to think about this for a while.

gonna dip my oar in and ask about the greasiest kinds of meat rabbits there is, because generally they are lean

I’m on a similar search on this topic right now. For many reasons, rabbits are so much more versatile than meat birds. Not to say a guy can’t have both, but there’s a lot of practical benefits to rabbitry.

If you have a Tor enabled browser, here’s three days’ share access to a couple of books I found, and saved on my file server:

Aaron Webster - Raising Rabbits 101 4th Edition

Chris McLaughlin- Hobby Farms_ Rabbits_ Small-Scale Rabbit Keeping

Here’s a relink to the Aaron Webster one. I couldn’t get the first share link to work

What does it mean to tractor rabbits? Sounds potentially like a scene from a horror movie...

Tractoring rabbits means they are in a moveable cage. They are moved every day or multiple times every day to give them fresh pasture to eat.

Ah I see. So nothing to do with tractors then? Peculiar. Thanks for explaining!

Not a book, but check out https://m.youtube.com/@TheRabbitryCenter

He's got experience, awesome advice, and ingenious ideas on how to keep them cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

I just checked this out. Good recommendation 🍻
