I don’t want a spot ETF because it subverts one of, if not the most, important qualities of #Bitcoin - self custody.
Is there a case as to why a spot ETF is good for bitcoin that I’m missing? Outside of the initial increase in price?

Harder to ban or slander it if normies have it in their IRAs, possibly. Although may be used to attack self custody if custodial alternative is available.

People who want ETFs are interested in building fiat wealth and are greedy fools.
ETFs are antithetical to #bitcoin’s self-custody ethos.
It’s fine if people want this (fools will exist after all), but they are clearly forgetting that Bitcoin works fine as it is and has done so beautifully since 2009.
