I don’t know if people realize but this Tina’s Cancer scam was a very big deal and an issue that is very real on Nostr.

If you don’t know or didn’t hear about it yet, there was this account called Tina’s Cancer Fight and they were raising money to help a little girl with cancer.

The problem? The pictures of this girl were stolen online, her names not Tina and the real girl already beat cancer.

The whole thing was a scam but they were able to rob over 2M sats from people in this community, 700k in zaps and an additional 1,300,000 sats onchain.

Additionally they stole thousands from others via a donation link.

There are other accounts doing the same, probably all by the same person!

Please Please Don’t fall victim to these, and help people if you see people helping them. As soon as they were caught they removed it.
