Help save fees, keep on chain analytics from connecting one to the other, allow easy reset of lightning liquidity without closing channels, lots of reasons you might want this. And also it allows a market instead of trapping you with a specific service. Aqua might charge 1% for every liquid swap, but maybe I only charge .5% because I have less liquidity but don’t mind making a little bit by offering it up when available.
Ohhh okay so there’s privacy benefits and an increase in competitive market dynamics! Okay. This is huge.
