We gave Bitchat a try with the plebs during our Bitcoin walk.

One missing feature is the ability to save a contact under a custom name. At this point, you can only change your own name—not the display names of your contacts.

Also, the main page felt too crowded, constantly filled with updates about who’s going online or offline, making it easy to lose track of messages.

That said, I appreciate that the app is still in its infancy, and hopefully, more improvements will come with future releases.
