@damus tripped the wire when adding "onlyZaps" to posts. Guideline for "optional" 'tipping and donations' was broken.

Remember: Apple is a law firm that also makes hardware and software. They can't give an edge case the benefit of the doubt when they have literally gone to court over in-app currencies.

Also Remember that relying on a single appstore (damus is iOS only) is the antithesis of 'decentralized'.

Alternative open source sysyems like GrapheneOs in addition to progressive web apps are the only way forward for mobile.

"Guidelines" can change at any time.

The issue wasn’t with onlyzaps, the issue was they consider zaps on posts to be paying for digital content. This was what they told me over the phone. They will come for Podcasting 2.0 and boosts next.

Agreed, optional tipping/donating still exists within onlyzaps. Their current logic would seemingly come for Podcasting 2.0 next.

Apple seems to be on the wrong side of their own policy and need to reconsider.

So far no issues.

I really think the difference is an episode vs a post and "zaps" vs "Value4Value"
