Good question. A few brief thoughts from my own exploration of this topic:

Bitcoin captures in its very protocol numerous qualities and fundamental principles Scripture exalts: truth, honesty auditability, rules that prevent partiality, etc. In these ways and more, bitcoin is certainly far more in line with a Biblical worldview than fiat.

Aside from having morally sound characteristics and laws, what determines whether it is pleasing to God is the same as anything else, whether it is used within the context of rightly ordered loves. We are to worship Him alone, to love him above all loves. The worship of any lesser thing, no matter how good it is, is idolatry and pride. Bitcoin is good, but if we deify it, our loves are disordered.

Christ is Lord, bitcoin is a wonderful gift of providence, and like all good things it ought to be used faithfully and righteously.

As was mentioned above, Jimmy Song has some great content on this subject. His book Thank God for Bitcoin is an excellent read.

Bitcoin is not anti-Christian, but I do think a CBDC will be how buying and selling will be controlled during the time predicted in Revelation. CBDC explains how this could happen. I never could understand how buying and selling could be controlled until talk of CBDC came into being.

I will agree here on the nature of CBDCs being wicked in that they are the antithises of bitcoin, the ultimate embodiment of everything morally reprehensible about fiat. But I am growing in a postmillenial conviction and see passages like the one you reference in Revelation quite differently than I used to.

We now run the risk of highjacking this thread and the direction of the discussion 😬

The days ahead are likely tumultuous, and there may be a time where the technocratic sociopaths have their rule via CBDCs and a digital panopticon. But it won't last. It will implode because it goes against natural law and because God will not be mocked. Christ is Lord over the nations and his Kingdom is ever on the advance.

Bitcoin will not save us, but it is a powerful tool for resisting tyrants and establishing human flourishing.

For sure! The sad thing is, people don’t see it coming. Not so long ago, i I remember “strong” Christians, disallowed from having their church doors open, disallowed from shopping anywhere but the grocery isle in Walmart, we had who? One Polish priest in Canada that threw an absolute fit, and a couple thousand evangelicals in California that played music in a park. Probably going to go the same way with cbdc. I don’t picture myself paying tithing with my ubi, that’s for sure.

yeah things are totally lining up prophetically

Well said sir, and thanks for mentioning that book, I’ll have to go check it out.
