I agree to a point. It's good to know (and be able to choose) where you send your data.

But people don't need to understand SMTP to send an email or HTTP to use a website.

These protocols are simply abstracted away from us by our software so we can just focus on our own problems.

Hopefully in the future people will use Nostr with just a vague idea of what it is and whats possible, while their tools can make a bunch of decisions for them so they don't have to think about whats happening under the hood.

Makes sense, but everyone knows you can’t delete an email if it’s sent. In case of nostr, everyone or a lot of people will surely ask a question about deleting a post. Since it’s obvious and works in all non crypto platforms.
