To be fair, the criticism of the bitcoin crew being cult-ish is an understatement. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency itself is a good and interesting tool but it's proclaimed as the monetary second coming of Christ.

And to be fair, it turns a good amount of people down.

I agree. To be a Bitcoin Maxi in the sense that you believe it to be the only viable permission-less money system, that’s one thing. And I am of this ilk.

But if Bitcoin Maxi means a philosophy that attributes all social problems to the dollar and all solutions to Bitcoin, that drastically overlooks the complexities of social inequality and its solutions.

The dollar is a symptom. The Fed is a symptom. The greater structure is one that is committed to profit over social good and culture.

Agree that over generalizing is not correct, when i say bitcoin fixes this, I dont mean literally everything, but money is a very important information layer that is being messed with with fiat, so its hard to see true causality in a lot of problems without having a sound money. Easier to say bitcoin fixes this.
