What’s the point on gaining followers, wouldn’t be better to gain interactions?

You want to follow a lot of people on Nostr. Without an algorithm to bring notes to you it helps to have a wide swath of people you follow. I notice most active accounts end up with a lot of followers for this reason. I assume anyways.
